Reading notes B: My Lord Bag of Rice Japanese Fairy Tales  by Yei Theodora Ozaki (1908). This story is very interesting and easy to read. The man finds a dragon that is transformed into a man He says his enemy is killing his family and asks for the man's help to kill him. The adventure continues as the man helps the dragon king. If I were rewrite this story, I would base it out of a jungle, and include tigers and people of that specific culture.

Week 6 Reading Notes: The Hind  A  son and a slave who got transformed into cows by a woman. They had a feast and the king needed a cow, so the servant brought him the cow who was actually the slave. The king showed mercy and couldn't kill it, so he had the merchant do it, but the cow was empty inside. They brought in another cow who was actually the son. The king looked into his eyes and showed mercy, and told the servant to take great care of that cow.  Then a girl told the king that she was magical and she knew that the woman transformed his son into the cow and she will change him back as long as she can marry him.  If I were to rewrite this story, I would recreate it using different characters that gave a more magical and mysterious ideology. Maybe incorporate some mythical creatures and a different setting than the original. I do like the storyline of the original, so I would keep that same idea.    The Arabian Nights' Entertainments  ...

Reading Notes There was much violence in the world, and God was very angry. He told Noah he was going to send a flood that lasted 40 days and 40 nights, and that he must build an ark that holds every animal, both male and female. Once the flood began, every other living thing died. After the flood raged, Noah sent a dove to test if the Earth had recovered, but the dove kept returning After several month, the Earth was dry, and the Lord said he will never flood the Earth again story link noah's ark image & image link
